Think Boyle and Chamber Members before You Buy!
The Danville-Boyle County Chamber of Commerce encourages people to buy their products and services locally. "Keeping our money local supports not only our local businesses but also all the non-profit organizations, sports programs and activities that are in our County," notes Paula Fowler, Executive Director of the Danville-Boyle County Chamber of Commerce. "Our local economy benefits because our small businesses pay local taxes to support schools, police and fire and other necessary components of a healthy community. Jobs are created by small business and their employees pay payroll taxes supporting many city and county services, as well."
The more money we spend locally the more we will increase our quality of life. For every dollar spent in the community that money is re-circulated up to eighteen times. The Chamber is urging people to look locally to Boyle County business and surrounding businesses that are members of the Chamber.
The Chamber offer its gift certificate program as part of their Buy Local effort. This program allows anyone to come into the Chamber and purchase a gift certificate in the amounts of $10, $25, and $50 for birthday gifts, Christmas gifts or special recognition for their employees. Participating Chamber members will redeem the gift certificates. A list of participating businesses will be included with the certificates. The certificates then will be presented to the Chamber for payment.
